Friday, Saturday and Sunday ‘level two’ of the Interleague Championships get underway with games in Kaunas, Lithuania, and Riga, Latvia. The four strongest teams from round one of the Interleague Championships earned a place are competing in Kaunas, which includes Kaunas ‘Lituanica’, Utena Veterans, Vilnius Vikings, and Brest ‘Zubry’. THird and fourth-place teams from each round one pool will compete in Riga, Latvia, including Vilnius Logipolija, Minks BGUFK, and Latvia (Riga) team.
The top two finishers after round two in Kaunas will automatically move on to the semifinals of the Interleague Championship, while the 3rd and 4th place finishers will face off against the 1st and 2nd place teams coming out of the Riga bracket in the quarterfinals, a double-elimination round to take place August 8-9.
On Friday, day one of Interleagues Round Two, Kaunas defeated the Black Vikings of Vilnius in a tight match 6-4, while the Utena Veterans defeated Brest Zubry 7-4.
